hey all. i just recently bought some frozen fruit for the first time (for yogurts, etc.) what is a good way to thaw it without it getting warm and mushy? thanks!

I usually throw it in frozen, very yummy and it melts a bit as you go

I add it frozen as well, it thaws quickly while you eat it.
  • i have frozen fruit daily. depending on the size of the fruit (blue berries, cut strawberries, whole berries, peaches) they all thaw out differently. we tend to take the blackberries out of the freezer 15 minutes before using, place in serving container and leave on the counter for 15 minutes. sliced strawberries, about 30-40 minutes.
i don't use my microwave much for anything. there is the theory that the microwave reduces the nutritional values in foods when thawed, cooked or heated in the micro.
you can put the fruit in the yogurt for as much as 1.5 hours before eating.
i tend to lean toward eating my fruit slightly frozen and really cold instead of thawed and mushy.

    cheering you on!
