Ok first let me say I am a 6fit4 Male with a very large frame. And that I am very active. I do 3 at least 60 minute lifting sessions a week. I walk at least 10k steps a day. And get about 2-4 hours of cardio in a week on average. And have had much success at weight loss eating 2000 - 2200 calories a day depending on the day. Sometimes on a day when my exercise regime has been pretty brutal I have gone as high as 2500. But this week has made me question if my diet habits are actually too restrictive. As you can tell from my ticker I have had a lot to lose and have lost a lot. I started the week at 255lb's and this was how it went.

Monday - 255.6lbs - Gym Day
Tuesday - 253.9
Wednesday - Forgot to weigh - Gym Day
Thursday - 252.5 - Went on my first run, kinda overdid it a bit cos i enjoyed the hell out of it. Also went out for dinner with my dad. Really good 3 course meal with 3-4 glasses of red wine was sure i would put on some weight but didn't care.
Friday 252.4 - Gym day
Saturday 249.8 ... wtf?

I really don't wanna be eating into lean tissue here. I would like your advice I am still at 27% body fat if you think it is safe for me to lose this fast I am totally cool with it but if you think thats too much then I think i might increase my calorie limit lol. I am not suffering from any inordinate hunger pangs. My stomach isn't spending it's time rumbling though I have started to feel slightly light headed when i suddenly stand up. My physical energy is good though.

Oh and please please don't take the piss out of the typo in the thread title. I just got up lol. I'm not rabid I promise.

I'd be careful of the 'Rabid' weightloss that can be a problem especially in dogs

In all seriousness weightloss is not linear some weeks you lose more than others it fluctuates up and down and there can be many reasons from the 'whoosh' effect to sodium to hormones. My guess it it will rebound back up. If watching these fluctuations worries you maybe weigh less often.

From this distance, being rabid will not concern me in the least. :flowerforyou:

Exactly what _Zardoz_ said. I will add this link because it is funny, but true for how we lose weight.

haha nah little fluctuations don't worry me but i have come to understand my own fluctuations and i guess this breaks the pattern. Normally I just don't see loss every day every week. And I also lost 3lb last week which is still a lot. If you guys think that I am fine then I am fine. I was just a bit worried cos fitbit had my tdee at 4k yesterday. Which if correct or even nearly correct would mean a deficit of around 2k lol.

If my fitbit said 4000 calories, I would fall out. Enjoy those calories. If you should continue to drop faster than you are comfortable with, just bump up your cals a little bit. You shouldn't be light headed from standing up too fast. If that continues you might want to check your blood pressure.

I have also heard of people losing weight after a night of wine or other alcohol.
