Hi guys,
Just wondering what people prefer to do I know everyone is different and they work out the same weekly calorie intake,
I use TDEE and do a I bit of calorie cycling more on weekend because I like a good drink and less through week,
but always toy with idea of doing mfp calculations and buying a polar HRM! reason been is I work out more on weekend I eat more on weekend would be nice to see my numbers In green or knowing an extra 30min work out can get me that more vodka / bottle of wine lol.
What about you which do you prefer any why???

I've tried both but do prefer the MFP method. I like seeing that big calorie burn number (from my polar f4-great investment!) . It makes me happy to "earn" extra food and knowing I still have a deficit (yes, I know it's there with TDEE too) in case I go over works better for me psychologically. Plus some weeks I workout out more than others or have much more active days that gets picked up with my fitbit.0

MFP was great when I first started and wasn't consistent in my exercise. I switched over to TDEE when fitness became more routine and consistent.0

I keep going back and forth between the 2 approaches. I generally prefer the TDEE method and works for me at the summer when I have consistent exercises (I am a bike commuter).
During the winter my exercise habit can be all over the place and TDEE method not very good handling that. . I may up exercise 4-5 times in one week and the next week the kids are sick and I maybe exercise once. Those months I better off go by MFP method in order not to overeat.0 -

Same for me, plus I was finding that on non-cardio days I was hungry and on my long run day I ended up stuffed and still failing to eat enough (this before I found the joy of nut butters). TDEE works better for me these days.

Mixed bag then, yes I do agrees that some days I'm more hungry then others so can be a bit of a pain numbers been up and down TDEE does seem less confusing.x0
