I have been on MFP for 3 months and have found it crazy helpful. I've lost 38 pounds and have found the mobile app essential to success.
Putting my caloric intake into black and white was very powerful in reinforcing good habits and encouraging me to stick with it.
It is a good start but I still have a looong way to go. Good luck to the rest of you.

That's an excellent weight loss!!! I agree. This format is so helpful and educationally really. Before writing it down you think you're not eating alot. When you see it in front of you, you really have an appreciation for how little we need to consume and how much we overindulge on a regular basis. Also, the exercising is key! Good luck and keep me posted.0

Awesome accomplishment!!! Great job!
I, too have found MFP VERY helpful. I spent years feeling helpless, and dieting not knowing what I was doing, and why I wasn't losing weight. MFP has been a terrific tool to help guide me, and I finally don't feel hopeless.
With the help of MFP and the support of my friends, I finally know that I CAN and WILL do this!0 -
Hello, my name is Dea Ellis
I am new to this site. It is nice to be here. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. I am from West Central La.
My sister uses this site and has so far lost 16 pounds in just a few months. She tells me it is very helpful. I won't get to start using it till after Christmas because there are gonna be too many things for me to have time to do all this but come Jan. I will get started. I am looking forward to having the help that this site provides.
Have a blessed day!

Hello again, Thought I'd come back in and read a few postings by everyone so I can get the feel of the group. What kinds of things you all deal with here, etc...I noticed someone had posted about epstein barr so I would like to add that I have Rosacea. It started on my chest, then my face and has progressed into my scalp. I have been on several different meds from antibiotics to gels, etc...Does anyone else here deal with rosacea and if so what kinds of foods do you know that affects this. I am a sugar addict I am afraid. Not cookies, pies, etc...but ice cream for sure which also contributes to my weight problem and I love sweet iced tea naturally being from the south. When I say "sweet" I emphasize "SWEET". As Dr. Phil says almost "syrupy"! If anyone has any information that might be of help to me regarding foods to avoid that would help alleviate the breakouts from the rosacea or any information they would like to share I would appreciate it.
This seems to be a really great site and very, very supportive and that means a lot when you are dealing with issues of weight, etc...
Thanks everyone in advance for your kindness toward me and everyone here.

Just a side note here to share...Last year I lost almost 40 lbs. by drinking the Pat Robertson Diet Shake that he talks about on his show The 700 Club. It is a very tasty shake and you can make it with any kind of fruit you prefer and you can also use either water, juice, or low fat skim milk as the base. I used the low fat skim milk and bananas and strawberries and blueberries. It was delicious and very filling. It worked great but so far I haven't been able to get myself motivated to do it again. You drink two shakes a day and eat either his "Stuff Yourself Silly" salad or foods of your own making for supper. He also recommends eating a protien bar in the mid morning and one in the mid afternoon for cravings or hunger pangs which you never have because you are really filled up by the shakes. Also you can save some of the shake from breakfast or lunch and freeze it and eat it as a treat like ice cream if you just have to have something after say 6pm in the evening.
Just thought I'd share this with everyone. Not promoting a quick fix or easy fix because you still have to watch your foods for your evening meals but it does work. This I know for sure.0 -
Re: Orgasm Cake recipe...
Just wanted to say I cooked one for my hubby and I tonight and it was delicious!! First time I've ever used the "Fat Free" Sweetened Condensed Milk but it was very tasty. Did notice it isn't quite as thick as the original but every bit as tasty. Thanks for sharing the recipe here with everyone. Look forward to cooking more of the foods posted here by everyone.
Have a blessed Sunday!0
