Goals are great, but 100 pounds in so little time is probably not possible or at least sustainable.
I recommend you watch what you eat very closely and get a great amount of real sweat inducing exercise, at least 5 days per week.

    Best of luck to you.

This needs to be reiterated. 100 lbs in 5 months is A LOT to lose in a healthy manner. 10 lbs a month is not unrealistic at all, though, and perhaps more. My suggestion is to focus on the fundamentals (good diet first followed by healthy amounts of exercise) and STAY WITH IT. Determination is your friend. And find friends here on MFP, too. Having supportive friends here in the community is helpful.

From the other side of a 100+ pounds loss, I'd advise you to look for a sustainable approach based on fundamentals. Here's some of my thoughts on the process:

Agreed..... don't set arbitrary timelines that are unattainable and even if they were, they are not a healthy approach to losing the weight and keeping it off... you already attempted losing weight and said you fell of the wagon. Were you trying to be as aggressive then too?? This journey is a lifestyle adjustment and should be treated as such... Set a modest deficit, get in some exercise daily and lose the weight gradually. Best of Luck

We're approaching 48 hours with no further participation by the OP ... an OP claiming to be 18 yrs old in the thread but 24 in her profile. Some things don't line up right here.

I made this account when I was 17 and not really dedicated. I turned 18 on December 3rd. It's a shame that my age is the biggest issue on here lmao

Anyway. Thank you guys for all the advice =] I have decided that I am NOT going to try and lose a certain amount of weight in a certain amount of time. I realized that doing so will not make me happy. I don't want to wind up quitting just because I don't see the results I want in that time.

A few people sent me private messages on here that really helped changed my perspective :) I'm not in a rush anymore. I just want to get healthy before anything else.

I really do appreciate everything that has been said though:)

I have copied down everyone's tips and advice that I can look back on now and then because I'm not always going to be on the forum all the time.
