Arms that are too big for my body

So it's always been like this but I've noticed it more recently. MY ARMS ARE MUCH TOO BIG FOR MY BODY. It makes me look twice as big because they stick out. I notice when I hide part of my arm when I look in the mirror, I look skinner. I have strong arms to be honest. There is definite muscle but the fat hanging on my triceps doesn't please me. I believe last week when I measured them they were about 13 1/2 inches.
I know the best way to rid of this fat is to lose weight but even 20 lbs ago they were still just as big! Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of this arm fat quicker? I mostly have the fat on my triceps so I've been lifts weights and doing multiple reps with a 5lb weight. Today I switched it up to ten pounds. And not only do I do bicep curls, I mainly do triceps too. I've seen more definition in my arms but they are still just as flabby.. Maybe even worse!
Help!

I think you're just going to have to cut your weight more. My upper arms are bigger than I think they should be proportion wise, but losing weight is helping that go away.0

The only quick way I know of is with brachioplasty (arm lift). Otherwise, patience and lift heavy things.0

Hon I think your arms sound just fine. That said, mine have leaned out a lot from lifting heavier weights and eating at a small calorie deficit (about 200 per day)0

I understand coz my arms are huge too. I can feel my muscles tight underneath all the fat. Side posing in pics makes my arms look huge. Losing fat is the only way. I have been doing some cardio, yoga and pilates and i can start seeing faint definitions. It is a matter of time, clean diet and hard work.0

You can't spot reduce fat. My recommendation would be to eat at a calorie deficit while doing some resistance training to preserve muscle. And be patient.0 -

Also this...it has taken me two years of maintaining my weight loss to start liking my arms after continuing with body recomp0 -
I can definitely sympathise. During my weightloss I've lost 6inches off my waist, 3 off each leg but less than .5 of an inch off my arms, it's easy to get self conscious. Agree with previous posts, and have found to an extent that the only person who thinks a part of them is icky/abnormal is the person who's part it is I'm sure your arms will carry on to get smaller. If only we could spot reduce!0

I think your arms look fine, but the triceps area is one area where most women store fat. The only way to get rid of it is to create a calorie deficit with diet and exercise to lose fat. You would burn more fat doing compound exercises (squats, bench presses, push-ups, rows) with heavier weights instead of doing isolation arm exercises with 5 and 10 pound dumbells.0

The title of this forum reminded me of the Disney movie where the T-Rex was like : "I have a big head and little arms."...0

My arms have always been the last place to lose fat. Even at my skinniest, I had a huge layer of fat on my upper arms while everywhere else was good.0

This.
And for what it's worth- I love my giant arms. They do awesome things like pick up 50 pounds of soil/dogfood/catfood/bails of hay.
Win win for everyone.
Eat your deficit and get on a lifting program and learn to love them puppies.0 -
OP--you're arms are FINE. Trust me, nobody notices or sees what you do. I think we are sometimes are own biggest/worst critics. *I* have shoulders that are wider than my size suggests and arms that are crazy long. So what? These parts are NOT too big for our bodies. They are a part of it, the whole package, and we work on making the best version of ourselves. :flowerforyou:0

Yep. Mine is my thighs. I used to want them to be smaller, but now I love that they help me lift heavy stuff. And since they're the only thighs I get I've worked hard to love them.0
