Feeling so 'zen' after workout

Does anyone else notice this? After I finished a workout I always feel completely relaxed, and in a way weird. My hunger is diminished for the rest of the day and I don't feel like eating sweets or crisps at all. Though I'm not exhausted! I do have enough energy to do whatever I feel like doing, or my husband suggests. Lets go to our arts museum? Sure, why not! But I also don't mind sitting in my relaxed workout zen mood for the rest of the day.
The not hungry at all thing is the weirdest: When I work out after work I already ate most of my calories for the day, but during weekends I usually end up in a hefty calory deficit as an early start fits my weekend plans better. Oh I do eat, but my portions are a lot smaller and my stomach is full much earlier.
Btw, I've been working out since mid April this time and since then I had no pack of crisps and manage to take only two sweets out of a pack if we had something at home instead of eating the whole lot in one go. I just don't have the urge.

I always feel really relaxed after I work out, mostly because I use one of the hydro-massage beds at my gym (heaven!). Always relaxed, but always ravenous too. Everytime I leave the gym I'm so hungry that I could eat my arm off.0

I know what you mean, if i go to the gym after a hard day at work and i really need the workout to clear my mind and relax, it works wonders for my mood- I feel so calm, happy and relaxed.
any time i do yoga I get this zen feeling, it's just what i need sometimes to centre myself.
I love the effect that a good workout can have on your mental state.
the not feeling hungry thing, sometimes I can wait hours happily for food after but other times I want to eat everything! guess it depends on how well I have eaten before the workout.0 -

After just swimming about a bit I get really hungry, but if I swim as fast as I can for many laps I have the zen feeling as well... Some magic hormone maybe?0
