And I've not lost a thing! I've weighed and tracked everything only thing I've probably not had enough of is water but still drinking 1.5 litres a day on average. I started off with 140lbs to loose and I've lost 9lbs I know slow and steady is better but nothing for a week!!! How do I stop this de-railing me? No change in measurements either :-(

Sometimes you won't lose anything in a week, just keep working hard and remember its about being healthy and fit! You got this0

Last week I didn't lose anything... This week I've lost 3lbs. Our bodies can be a mystery. Keep it up. The weight will go eventually0

maybe you're retaining water or something or it's just a slow week. keep it up and see what's happened next week. if not, check your calorie goals.0

If you are a super fluctuator like me, you may need to start weighing yourself daily. I started doing that when I lost NOTHING for 3 weeks but it turns out I had lost 6 pounds but because for the first week I weighed in at the lowest water retention, second I weighed in somewhere in the middle and 3rd I weighed in at the highest level of water retention, it looked as if I lost nothing when I actually did, because in the next 3 days I "lost" 6 pounds with a flick of a finger.
It really depends on many factors like water, sodium, how much food is still in your body/intestines, glycogen, hormones, stress, sleep, hydration/dehydration, introducing new exercises or increasing the intensity of existing workout routine... etc. Scale can give you the false impression for a variety of reasons. The only way you know you have stalled is if you have gone 1-2 months without losing anything, and if your deficit is small you may even need to wait for 3-4 months to see results.
As for measurements, water retention and bloating CAN cause falsely inflated measurements. Even if it didn't, they don't always change fast. That's why you are supposed to take them only once a month or two, depending on your deficit.
Actually last evening I weighed in at 103 kg and at 101 this morning. That's about 5 pounds loss in one day,
Here is what you could do:
1. Weigh in every day after going to the bathroom, preferably at the same time of day and in just underwear
2. At the end of the week record your highest weight and your lowest and average them out.
3. Alternatively you could use a phone app which helps spot weight trend like Libra, and if after 2 weeks of logging your line starts sloping downward, it means you are losing.0 -
I usually lose nothing for weeks and then suddenly one week lose 5+lbs. It's really unmotivating, I agree, but if you are doing things right the results will come... Just maybe not in the perfect pattern we would prefer to see0
