When you buy the sprouts from the store is it ready to use or do you need to wash it first?

    Most people would prolly wash 'em, but I don't.

    Even with washing, sprouts have high bacterial loads...such as E coli! I'd wash them.

    Unfortunately, washing won't help with that. If it is there, it tends to be actually inside the sprout. Just like with the spinich a couple of years ago. You can't wash it off. If you are concerned about that, I've never had a problem personally or known anyone who has, but you can grow your own. A little time consuming, but they taste even better fresh!
