A question about fitbit

My job does not allow me to were rings or bracelets. But I want to get a fitbit so my question is. Will a fitbit work as a anklet? If anybody has tried this can you let me jniw if it works? If you are willing to try it for me could you also let me know the results?

I honestly dont see how it would change the readings if not be a bit more acurate as it would only read steps when your foot moved.

Why not get the Fitbit One, you can wear it like a old school pager.

I have to agree with the other poster, why not go for a clip on model?

There are 3 models of Fitbit currently. One, Flex, and zip. Each of them is slightly different.

    Zip:
    - clip on (anywhere on your torso)
    - comes in neon colors
    - counts steps, distance, and calories
    - has a smiley face that changes depending on how active you are (if I remember correctly, it frowns when your not active)
    - uses a watch battery
    - visual display so you don't need to sync to check progress

    One:
    - clip on (anywhere on your torso)
    - comes in 2 colors
    - rechargeable
    - counts steps, distance, floors, and calories
    - can track your sleep
    - has a flower that grows as you get closer to your goals
    - visual display so you don't need to sync to check progress
    - ability to create activity records

    Flex:
    - wrist worn
    - has a variety of interchangeable colored bands
    - rechargeable
    - counts steps, distance, and calories
    - no display
    - has lights to indicate progress towards a goal of your choice
    - waterproof
    - can track sleep
    - ability to create activity records

The One and Flex are the same price. The Zip is a cheaper model.

    From Fitbit's site:
Though Flex is designed to be worn on your wrist, you can remove the tracker from the wristband and carry it in your pocket. We do not recommend wearing Flex on your ankle.

I believe they do not recommend wearing it on ankle.." it is powered by Fitbit’s leading-edge accelerometer and altimeter, the One™ accurately captures all-day activity " so not really a step counter, you can put it on a pocket or my fitbit one I clip to my waistband on trousers- inside so not noticed, particularly if wearing a belt.
