Hi!
So this is basically what I eat:
Breakfast:
- 40g bran flakes (or shreddies)
- 125ml orange labelled (1%) milk
Lunch:
- 2 slices wholemeal bread with olive oil spread
- sliced turkey joint
- iceberg lettuce
Snack:
- 1 gala apple or kiwi
Dinner:
- whatever is cooked, we always have wholegrains and vegetables though! I don't really eat out and never have fast food
I only drink water, lemon or peppermint green tea and sometimes chai tea!
For exercise, I just put on some workout videos and do about half an hour, and walk for 25-50 minutes a day, sometimes more!
Sometimes I am under my calorie goal but have had no problems and still feel happy and energetic
I think as long as you are above 1,000 its all ok, but my goal is 1,200.
Thank you! Hope you've had a great weekend

Have you read this? It's really informative

I guess it depends on what you mean by "okay." I would absolutely lose weight on that diet, because I would be losing huge chunks of muscle and look like flabby rubbish when I was done. So I would not personally consider that "okay" for weight loss because that's not the goal I have in mind.
A proper diet for weight loss includes a realistic calorie goal based on your current stats and how much you want to lose in a realistic, healthy time frame, plus takes into consideration your macro and micronutrient needs.
Please read these links, they are very helpful, especially the sexypants one.
