Just turned 30 ... Can this be my best year??

So. I've been on MFP since May 12 (day after Mother's Day slapped me in the face with reality). I did 5 hardcore weeks and lost 15 pounds.

Then I went home to MA for almost two weeks with the kiddos - did workout at home, but also ate like crap and celebrated my turning 30 in a margarita and cake induced celebration. Then my husband and two kids and I went to NH for a week this past week. While there, my actual birthday rolled in and we celebrated again. (AKA: more cake) We ate out. Drank. Just had fun.

However ... it's now been since June since I logged or watched food. I am preeeeeetty sure I gained at least 10 pounds back (granted a few will fall off quickly from bloat/water weight) but now I seriously need to get back into this.
I need to make my health and eating habits an actual priority in my life.

Can my 30th be my best year??

Can my 30s be my best decade??

I'm sure they can! I know I said I wanted to have all my weight lost by the time I was 40 and now I'm 41, but I swear it's happening this year! RIGHT NOW is a good time! :)

Anytime can be your best years, it's just up to you to make certain it happens. I was a cake addict and over several years, and by my refusal to get on the scale I let 25 pounds sneak up on me. It's taken a long time for me to finally take it off, but today I am just 5 pounds from goal weight.

It's just calories in versus calories out, and btw I still eat cake, but a lot less of it than I used too.

I think they can be or at least I hope so because I'm now 30 and trying to make them my best years.
