50 and feeling great!

I am new to this site thanks to my amazing niece and her commitment to lose some weight. As a 'middle-aged' male I started my journey in December of 2013 tipping the scales at 235 lbs. Although I am 6'4 and of medium build, I felt fat and was taking on the typical pear shape of men my age. In 6 months I have lost 35 lbs and have improved my physical abilities. When I began I couldn't do a single push up. Now I can do 50 without stopping. I started running and could barely do one-half mile when I started in late March. Last Thursday I was able to go 4 miles. I lift weights and have toned up nicely. A big diet change has been key in my success. I let go of sugar, alcohol and gluten which aided in half of my weight loss. Along with my weight I have seen my cholesterol and BP fall back in to line. My goal right now is to hit 50 (9/11/14) weighing exactly 200 lbs (currently 206) and being able to do 75 push-ups, 5 pull ups (2 currently) and run 5 miles without stopping.
