Food Estimation

Options
Hey guys!

Just wanted to ask about different ways to estimate food intake. Obviously your not always going to readily have access to a food scale or bar code to scan foods on the go. For example, estimating the amount of chicken your eating at a friend's house or something along those lines. What are some good tips in estimating foods? Thanks!

When in doubt, over-estimate. And if you are estimating that day, don't eat back all your exercise calories.

closed fist or baseball = one cup
palm of hand = three oz of meat, fish or chicken . . .

When I'm weighing my food I'll cut off what I think is it then weigh it to check myself. practice practice practice. you'll find you get pretty close the more you do it
