Been using myfitnesspal for a little bit and am making steady progress: trying to sensibly lose 2 lbs a week, 127 total. I am 58 and watched my pounds ever so slowly creep up on me. I never actually tried to keep track of what I ate before and was amazed at how my excess calories I was consuming. Counting calories is working for me and I'm not starving!

Congrats on taking the first steps. I reached 332 at 6'1" when I started my journey. After 2 years and 105 lbs I feel so much better. Hoping to lose another 25 lbs and finally get under 200! The "2 lb per week" goal worked well for me and I hope you succeed. Add me and we can motivate each other!0

I'm making good progress as I head into the holidays. Even when I've gotten off track onto an eating binge I've still logged everything for over 160 days in a row.
