Personally I think spanx make people look funny because you can still tell their weight by their arms and legs, but the stomach/backside looks abnormally smooth for what you would expect someones shape to look like.

I would imagine that would get in the way of the undressing portion of the evening... I mean... I've tried wearing spanx before and it was like trying to stuff sausage... there can't possibly be anything sexy about having to take it off in front of someone?

I did it once. It was horrifying to struggle to take it off in front of him. There was no way I was going to let him see me try to put it back on (my shirt didn't fit over my fat rolls, so I had to borrow a sweatshirt).

Nope. I tend to save that kind of crap for stuff like weddings or events when I want to look really hot.

And I'd not wear it at all now as I've been told it's about as sexy as if I had just encased my whole body in sausage casing

Oh, it's very hot :devil: :blushing: . Control top hose are as "far" as I'll go when wearing shapewear. I didn't even wear shapewear for my own wedding; that kinda stuff is uncomfortable and unsexy feeling to wear, imo.

I wear spanx tank tops under anything remotely dressy. Dress clothes lay better, my boobs aren't flopping around every where. There's no false advertising there. They aren't wonder workers that make me look twenty lbs lighter. Women are shaped extremely different even when they are the same size and weight. Majority of clothing does not accommodate that. Spanx can help make a dress fit perfectly when it was just slightly off before.

I wear shapewear with a fitted dress, but not 'Strangle-Spanx.' Just something to keep the girls and tushie from bouncing around too much. Not false advertising, just making yourself look less like a galumphing pudge-puppy and more like a tall well-bred mastiff.

I don't know. Some dresses/shirts are made out of thin material. I'd like a little smoothing. I really don't think they take 20lbs off, just make things sit a little smoother underneath. I'm in pretty decent shape currently and could still us a little smoothing in certain outfits.
