I am a male who is trying to lose weight. My fitness pal consistently tells me to eat below 1400 calories per day. I thought that men were not supposed to go under 1400. Thoughts?

Depends a lot on you as an individual man, and how much you train. for example if I ate 2800 Calories a day I would lose weight and I want to sustain my current 200lb size because going lower means I would lose muscle but I also train 6 days a week doing a double-split routine training every muscle twice a week and 2-3 hours of cardio...so to give a master blast answer would be wrong...more details are needed to assess your needs.0

You must be set at 2 pounds per week, and\or 1400 might be your net (meaning that you should eat the calories you burn while exercising, over your 1400)?? It seems really low for a man.0
