So, knowing that I've been trying to lose weight like mad. And trying to get my running time up to a fitness test standard.
Today was the day my long term girlfriend decided to tell me that she thought I looked really unhealthy and that I was too fat.
Can't beat the wee confidence boosts along the way eh guys!?

1. Eat a sensible amount of food. Stick with your calorie goal.
2. Practice running several times a week. Just run and don't worry about the time just yet.
3. Challenge your girlfriend to a race. Yeah, that will keep her quiet.
4. Buy her chocolate all the time so she's much fatter than you. (Kidding)0 -
I just came in here because I recognized your usename and instantly remembered a post you wrote well over a year ago.
Lucky for me, you don't post much, so it was easy to find.My bar strategy... I tend to just spend all my money immediately on shots ... by the end of the night I " whitey" . Which in scotland means im violently sick everywhere . I find i lose weight after a night out
The combination of being sick .... sweating from dancing so much and running away from other girls boyfriend and/or the police provide an excellent way to get rid of calories.
I usually purchase a kebab ... not to eat of course . I hold it out in one hand as far as my arm goes ... and follow whatever direction it ends up pointing in . This is my kebab compass. It regularly provides me with a fast and easy route home, via fields , parks , lakes and other peoples houses.

What she said doesn't matter.
The only thing that matters is what you do next.
Get it done.
Nothing out-argues success.0 -

Perhaps she thought she was being helpfully motivating? Is saying things like that something she does normally? Did you ask her what brought it on? I have to wonder especially as you've lost 11 pounds according to your ticker.
My advice is as long as she's not normally so unfeeling or intentionally hurtful with her comments to just let it pass. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll acheive the success you seek.0 -
We do, on occasion, hear the bitter truth from loved ones. It sucks, but sometimes we need to hear it. I mean, do we really expect the little white lies to be continuous and uninterrupted? Buck up and keep going.0

Thanks for any support aha
I dont even see myself as that overweight, I have a 34-36 inch waist ( lowest iv ever been was when I was 18, 12 stone and a 32 inch waist) so in that regard im alright
It annoyed me more cause she knows how much losing this last bit of weight means to me. And the fact that if I ever called her fat the **** would hit the fan!!
Shes one of these really annoying people that can eat takeaways and anything she wants without gaining a pound.
Whereas I appear to gain weight from breathing. Bloody oxygen calories.0 -
