Staying calm success story

This is a different success story. I have been losing weight successfuly for one year, and I was close to GW (needed 5 more lbs or so) and maintenance. Now I was on vacation (no counting and definitely gaining) and got home sick (-> no sport for a few days) and I am NOT panicking! Typically, I would be miserable thinking that I might fall off the wagon FOREVER whenever life gets in the way. I would regret every ounce I ate and beat myself up for it.
Instead, this time, I am staying calm because I know that the life style change is done and I will lose the weight and pick up my exercise again, just a matter of time. There is no need to rush. It is as if I had transitioned to true maintenance. That's a great success for me because so far I only knew two states: strictly dieting or not caring about it at all. Good to know I can do something in between!
I will still count because I decided to seriously up my protein intake to see better results in my lifts. But first I have to feel better and get rid of this cold. So be it.

Funny that I call being able to NOT exercise and gaining weight a success story LOL Still, I am posting to make sure I do not lose touch with the fat loss thing.

Can anyone relate?

Well done! That's a real change on the inside. Great that you can acknowledge it! I think, that is a real success Story!

Not quite at maintence yet, but due to lots of things going on and being close to goal, I have been maintaining or losing very slowly since March. And that's OK ;-)
