calories burned (each calculator gives a different number)!!

I swear, each calories burned calculator I have tried has given me a different number for the same thing. And all of these are different than what my pedometer shows and my treadmill shows. My treadmill is just basic so I don't trust those numbers. My weight goes into my pedometer but that is going by the number of steps.

I don't know what to input anymore (30 minutes at 3.5 mph).

Plus I do Treadmill intervals so that makes it even harder. I'm so confused!

Those are all just estimates. To get a correct count of what YOU are burning, you must use a heart rate monitor.

They are all just estimates and based upon the formulas they use and assumptions they make they will all be different. You best best is to get a good HRM and use that to calculate your calories burned. The most important part is just to use a consistent source.

Thanks! I was actually planning on doing that since I've been hearing a lot about them.

It is a must that you make an investment into a device so that you can get the proper reading. I have found MFP to be close in #'s with my bobybugg. For my walking the 4.0 mph puts me more close to the right # of calories burned.

I use a Polar FT4 (I think), and it is great and not near as pricey as a BodyBugg
