Hey all! So I love my Polar HRM (although the strap is a freaking pain in the you know what) BUT I would love a HRM with GPS. any suggestions of something that is accurate, lasts and works well? I am open to being a little bit spendy for something great. I would love it for hiking and trail runs...

  • I have a Garmin 310XT and love it! There are other models that have HRM and GPS at a lower price. Shop around since many offer discounts this time of the year.

I have the 305, checked out the 310xt first, it didn't offer much more for a huge increase in price. Prefer the styling of the 305 too.

I use mine for weight-training, walking, running and biking (with GPS outdoors, and when I get an indoor trainer for the bike, using the additional bike computer addon, cheaply bought).

It can DEFINITELY be used as a regular HRM for stationary exercise, use it with my treadmill, and various gym equipment.

It calculates your HR from a regular coded chest strap, supplied typically.
