I had beautiful skin as a teenager, and assumed I was just genetically blessed and would never have to worry about skin issues. I lived at home, and had a very healthy home-cooked diet.
Then somehow, in my mid-20s, it all went south. I was eating the biggest amount of processed food that I'd ever ate in my life. I was never crater-faced, but I got acne during periods and formed a couple of dark spots under my cheekbones and on my forehead.
Now, I'm 29, my diet is heavily vegetarian (I do eat some meat) and my scarring has cleared up, and my beautiful skin is back. I still get acne once in a while, but it doesn't scar so the only thing I use anymore on my skin is moisturizer.
