You're never on your own at Tough Mudder!!!
It's the sort of event where everyone helps each other, there'll always be someone to help you at obstacles, you'll meet like minded people and probably make new friends.
Scottish one has been and done, but I would do the event on my own, knowing the sort of people that run it, the majority of them are out for the day out/adventure/fun of it, and are more than happy to help noobs and people on their own, it all depends on your own confidence levels if you would go.0 -
Gillian is absolutely right! I've never experienced such team work from random strangers as the last Mudder I ran. I was humbled by it and amazed at the spirit of teamwork. You will not be alone. Teamwork is REQUIRED to get through that course.0

Thanks! i would feel a bit odd going by myself, but I dont know anybody who is actually doing it! Also, there is a good chance i might be a bit crap - i can run the distance no problem on a road, but i have never actually done it in mud and then stopped off on the way to electrocute myself and take an icy dip :-)0

Don't worry they save the electrocution for the end!!
Running trails is different to running the roads but if you've got the mileage then that's great, my trainer (who is mental enough to have entered Worlds Toughest Mudder) always says that to people, the distance is the most important thing, there are always people that will help at the obstacles but if you can't run the 12 miles, no one can help you with that!!
There are FB pages set up, maybe post on them, see if you can find someone to run with, once you've done one you'll see what we mean about it actually being doable on your own:)0
