Body Comp Analysis--Where/how to have it done?

In a few months I'd like to have an accurate body composition analysis done, and then go back again at some future point (maybe 6 months?) to have it re-tested to measure my progress. (The reason I'm waiting is that I'm currently pregnant, so I figure I should give some time for my body to get back to "normal" before getting this done).
I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me about this. For starters, is there a specific kind of body comp analysis that is "best"? I have heard that the hydrostatic "dunk tank" kind are most accurate, but I live out in the boonies and know of no place nearby that offers this service...but something like a DEXA scan could be an option for me, since there's an orthopedic center down the road. So, for those who've considered body comp analysis, what would you recommend? How frequently should one measure this? And have you found it to be a valuable tool in tracking your progress?
My goal isn't (just) weight loss, but rather to return to an athletic physique a.s.a.p. so that I can get the most out of my training for future endurance/distance runs. Thanks for any input!

Bod Pod is a good method. Easy and pretty accurate. Not necessarily cheap though. Here is a locator:

I went to the local university health system to use their Bod Pod. I think it's $75 each time, which is on the higher end.0 -
