Extra heartbeat and max heart rate

So, I have an extra heart beat. Confirmed by doctors, had an echo and all that jazz (doctor says it's fine and isn't likely to cause any problems). The problem I'm coming across, though, is estimating my maximum heart rate. I'm 35 years old, and not very fit (I just started doing cardio this week), but I find my heart rate get's up to around 165 for the entire duration of my cardio (about 20 minutes). That's theoretically around 90 percent of my max heart rate, which is bonkers, and supposedly unsustainable for more than an couple of minutes.

So, I've come to the conclusion that my max heart rate is a LOT higher than normal, but I just don't know how I could possibly estimate it, and thus accurately estimate my calories burned. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm 42 and when I run my HR is around 180.

I would recommend asking your doctor about your MAX HR question because it may or may not be the same with the extra heartbeat. If it doesn't effect your MAX HR then the calorie burn would be pretty close. I've used the calories burned on my HR monitor my entire weight loss and I eat back my calories.

    Good luck on your journey.

The "max HRs" you'll find based on age are just estimates and often not very accurate.

This is from Sunday morning. I hit 160 at about the 1 hour mark and kept it up there for another hour. I think it ended on about 170.

How are you calculating your theoretical max?
Because the old equation is crap.
