Corset/Waist Training

I was wondering if anyone had tried this? I don't want to use it as a means to not workout and eat right, but I was curious to see if anyone had tried it and was successful. I know you can't spot reduce, but from my studies (mainly online) I've read it is way to reshape your bodies proportions.

I just got a corset and I plan to try my own "experiment" with my measurements and a picture diary. I mainly wrote this for feelers from others who maybe tried their own experiment of sorts.

Yeah, it didn't work out for me, and it was a little awkward for my wife... JK

I have no tried that but hey can't hurt right? well maybe it can if you are going to do it really tight. I have heard of people getting good results from wraps so why not?

From what I know: A loose, comfortable corset won't change anything and a really tight one is not healthy. I have no personal experience though, so please feel free to correct me.

I work at a Renaissance Faire over the summer, so I wear a corset with some regularity on the weekends for about three months a year. My body definitely changes while I am wearing it, but it doesn't seem to have any permanence once the season is over. Like, during the summer, my fat shifts (and I do lose extra just from sweating in the humidity and my court dress), but it shifts back once I stop wearing it regularly.

This is obviously not a "training" scenario as I am not doing it on purpose, but I do see a difference.

As for the healthiness of corset-wearing, it kind of depends on the corset. An Elizabethan style corset, which is what I wear, pretty much molds the body to be straight up and down and cuts off at the natural waist. That doesn't shift organs around or anything, but something super extreme and s-shaped might. I would definitely read up on it. There are plenty of blogs about corset-wearing out there.

The one I've got give me a 24 in waist where my natural waist is 27 inches. I've read up on it A LOT and researched it, so not really needing any suggestions on the health risks just wondering if anyone else has tried it.
