Hey all. I've been "kinda sorta" dieting for years. I never stick with it longer than a week. I want to change that. I'm new here, July 16 is my 1st day!

Welcome, from another Seattleite.
Summer reminds me why we tolerate the other 10 months of gloom!
Acquire some friends here to help keep you checking in. Measure all your food and log it. Commit to at least 20 days (to try to make it a habit).
I also am a big fan of the slow and moderate path. I've been at this off and on for the last 4 years. The cool thing is that I've been teaching myself how to eat and cook healthier, so that even when I don't log all my food for a while because life gets in the way, I seem to maintain and not start gaining again.
You can do it!0 -
I'm glad you're here. I'm 60 years old and had 60 pounds to lose when I stumbled upon this site in April. It was the best thing that could have happened to me weight-wise. I've lost 26 pounds so far by carefully logging everything I eat and it's motivating for me to read posts and look at the before/after pictures. Good luck on your journey - I've no doubt you can do it. Please send a friend request if you'd like.0
