Cycling and Weight Gain?

Hi All--I've recently taken up cycling outdoors as a means of exercise due to doctor's orders. For the past two weeks, I've been cycling quite frequently, typically anywhere from 8-12 miles a day (45 minutes to an hour) with one rest day a week. I was doing so well at losing weight via walking, running, and dieting, but my new cardio workout seems to have me gaining weight. I'm up almost 3 lbs. I'm wondering if any of you had the same experience. I'm still staying within my allotted calories and usually consuming only half of what I burn on my rides. I appreciate some feedback!

assuming your tracking accurately, its just water retention from the added exercise. it will subside within another couple weeks0
