    Beef on 'Weck - a Western NY State delicacy much more revered than the wings - Roast Beef on Kummelweck has several slices juicy hand carved standing rib roast piled on a kummelweck roll [something like a Kaiser Roll but coated with caraway seeds and coarse salt]. The meat is complimented by Horseradish Sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. May be dipped in beef juice or, more rarely, gravy. Pickle spears on the side. The original 'authentic' food of Buffalo NY thanks to the German settlers.
