Newbie wants to feel better at 30 than 29

Hello all! I'm a champion lurker when it comes to message boards. Maybe if I participate more, it will be easier to stay on track.

Like the title implies, I'm 29 and will be 30 in less than four months. I'm working on building healthier habits so that when it comes time to return to work in late August, I'll be able to maintain those habits. Lucky for me, I'm a school SLP, so I'm generally more active during the school year than during the summer anyway. I'm focusing on fitness and health rather than weight (though I wouldn't mind losing 30 pounds - baby steps for someone as heavy as me). I'm also an ovo-vegetarian, so using the food diary is helping me to get enough protein in my diet.

Any other teachers/school-based clinicians around here?
