I need YOUR help!!

I am 18 years old, 5' 4", and 183lbs. For now, my goal is to get down to about 150-ish lbs. I cannot do much on the working out part due to lack of time and I have a very bad back as well as bad joints. The only thing exercise-wise I am technically cleared to do is swim which is impossible without a pool and not having the money to get one. This is also the reason I am at this weight now. I used to be very active (cheer leading, swim team in school, band, and running) and its rather depressing not being able to do much without hurting myself later. I am just wondering if I can lose the weight just with calorie restriction. I currently have my goals set on 1.5lbs/week which gives me 1250 cals/day. Is this too low? If so, what would you recommend? I've heard of the JUDDD diet and I'm curious but can't find much info about it. What are some other diets that may be relatively easy to follow for a college student with literally no time?

Also, when I first started MYP I was around 190 ish and lost weight pretty quickly but now I'm not seeing much change. I really don't know much about what to do with BMI, BMR, TDEE, etc, so if you recommend anything along those lines, please help me understand what on earth it's all about!

yes you can lose weight on just a calorie restriction, i have exercised on and off during my loss and now only just starting to exercise regularly after losing 4 stone. if your'e used to eating a lot, start off by setting your goal to 0.5lb a week, then go up to 1lb once you've got used to it and stick to the recommended daily calorie goals that MFP gives you. Don't rush into it, take it slow, make healthy choices, stick to your calorie goal and the weight will fall off :)

Thanks! It's nice to know that I can actually do it! I'm just feeling really discouraged right now because I haven't been losing much recently..

Also lost my weight without exercise. Just eating healthy and counting calories/creating a defecit. Research BMR and TDEE and adjust your settings according to those calorie/macronutrient targets. It can be done!!
