How can Sashimi have so many calories???

It doesn't seem right to me that a teeny, tiny, piece of fish, without the rice, has 80 cals. So if I eat 3 pieces of fish, I'm up to 240 cals? I would be starving if that's all I ate for dinner. There must be something wrong right?

thatd be a big piece of sashimi. you'd have to weigh it to be sure but its probably closer to half that

Yeah. If it's a "teeny, tiny, piece", it's probably not 2oz.

I've taken my scale to the brazillian place- looks like I should start taking it to the sushi place- all you can eat is hard to get a handle on in terms of volume!!!

sashimi is fairly low in calories.

Imagine the average serving of sashimi from the kitchen will be between 1 and 2 oz, depending on the fish, the quality, the price, and the place you are at.

Locally, an order of maguro of sashimi will run around $12-14, and give you about 2oz - 3oz. They also are using "inlander" quality tuna, and not the stuff you would get in a boston, SF, or LA.
