I have a home treadmill that works great, but has a split in the tread. Has anyone had their tread repaired if so was it expensive and where do you go for this? I known duck tape on the split in the tread is temporary at best. HELP !!!!!!

The tread can be replaced - contact the manufacturer first because it may be under warranty depending on how old it is - if not they should be able to give you a quote for repairs on the phone. It is possible to change it yourself but it isn't an easy task. I have never done it but I used to sell treadmills (worked for Nordic Track) and one of the other people in the store did change one out once (not a trained tech). If the treadmill is old or you can't find the manufacturer try the fitness stores in your area - they may have a repair department.0
