Low calorie for when your sick

So I have a cold and my throat feels as if someone took a cheese grater to it.

That being said,
What are some good, high-nutrition, low-calorie foods and beverages for a sickie?
I want orange juice and gatorade and soda and all sorts of high calorie drinks to make my throat feel better... but I dont want the calories! I refuse to gain back anything I've lost, just because I have a cold.

Any suggestions?
I know soup is good...but I dont want soup.... haha

    Try some tea? Lots of different flavors to try. I've just had warm water with lemon in it. Maye a hot chocolate as a treat. Hope you feel better soon! For some food try mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes, soft and good!

    You need to eat a bit more when your ill, it will take you longer to get over it if you don't.

    you can drink the low sugar 50 cal orange juice...and maybe some hot oatmeal instead fo soup?? and tea is good and cal free??? But i wouldnt worry too much..when your sick your body is working harder to fight so you should actually be eating more cals...so if you go a bit over dont worry your body will work it off fighting off the illness=) Hope you feel better!

    Tropicana has some good drinks that arte 50% less sugar. I get the Trop50 no pulp and it is delicious and only 50 calories. Also, Sugar Fee Hawaiian Punch singles to go. You just add to a bottle of water and it tastes just like the original Hawaiian Punch but is only 5 calories. Feel bettter!
  • awesome guys! yeah i'm not too worried about going a little over calories, but I dont want to drink 1000 calories is a sitting. I think I'll go out after I nap a bit more and look for some of that low-cal orange juice...

    And tea is awesome too. I have a ton of boxes of tea in my cupboard... just forgot they were there :)

    I guess we've been spending too much MFP time together because I woke up this morning with the EXACT same thing! Except my head is pounding and my face feels like its about to burst from stuffiness.

    I've been drinking apple juice and it literally feels like I'm scalding myself every time I take a sip. Other then that, I haven't been able to eat a thing today. I know you said you didn't want soup, but oooo boi.... I made homemade potato soup last night and I would totally invite you over for some...lol! I'm not sure you want to make that drive...haha!

    When I'm sick though, I tend to drink the juice and eat what sounds good without going overboard (like high sugar, high fat.) I will make, or, err, um...my hubbo will make me a smoothie with yogurt and some fresh fruit. That feels AMAZING on your throat.

    I sure hope you feel better soon hunny!!! :o) I know how miserable ya feel! I hate being outta commission! :o)

    I'M SICK TOO BUT I KNOW I NEED TO KEEP MY ENERGY UP I EAT CHICKEN NOOLDE SOUP OR CHICKEN AND RICE. THE BROTHS HELPS THE THROAT. TEA WITH HONEY OR HOT COCO PLAN FOR BOTH HELPS NO SUGARS ADDED.
