My First Half Marathon

I have been running for the last 5 years, on and off due to injury. Lately I have been injured a lot and unable to do much exercise. I am currently running 3-6km, but a recent hip injury has put me back down to less than 3km per run. I was training for a half marathon on September 21, 2014, but with only 9 weeks to go and my longest run being 6km I am not sure if it is safe to continue training for this race or if I should run a shorter race instead. Comments and advice would be helpful.
