Where do you get your recipes from?

Does anyone have a good go to blog, website, etc that they're willing to share (besides allrecipes.com because really I just want to browse and not look for anything specific)?

Im spending today gathering up some recipes and trying to plan meals and such but my recipe collection really needs a good do-over and gone through to replace some of the bad for yous for healthier for yous.

I'm a Pinterest junkie. It's hit or miss sometimes, but I've found a lot of great recipes there.

I use Yummly which draws recipes from other sites. I follow a Low Carb diet and really like the blog: I Breathe I'm Hungry (www.ibreatheimhungry.com). I draw recipes from the cookbook "The Culinary Chef" from the Culinary Institute of America and adapt for my diet (and portions - the recipes are scaled for restaurant yields).

I get most of my ideas from either here or pinterest! I usually tweek them a bit to fit my needs and taste.
  • When I'm looking for ideas but nothing specific, I'll go to tumblr and search for healthy recipes and just browse from there.

Simply Taralynn is a good one with lots of low calorie recipes. Also, I cook a lot from Budget Bytes, she has good and cheap recipes (although she doesn't provide nutrition facts, you can calculate them yourself if needed).

Skinnytaste is also really good, but I think it's been mentioned already.

Jamie Oliver's website is great, particularly his 15 minute meals recipes because they're calorie conscious.

Besides the places that were already mentioned, I often go to the library and check out cookbooks, and then copy the recipes that I like at home.

I also use Skinnytaste, the Picky Eater and Canadian Living Magazine recipes (esp. because they have nutritional counts).

I usually end up on pinterest when I need flavor ideas. Many blogs have pinterest pages and I find it easier to navigate than going to each site.

Also, Cheap, Healthy, Good was an amazing blog.
