Help finding what to eat.

So I started exercising three times a day last week. I only did it twice a day. But as someone who has Muscular Dystrophy. I need to get my right nutritions, and I just don't know what to eat. Can anyone recommend anything that is enjoyable, and healthy?. I got regular food like you know fruits, beef, grain, etc. I know it's never been lack of exercise. Is just that perhaps I'm eating the wrong things. Before my junior year of HS(09-10) I started eating this wrap for lunch. I did it so I wouldn't get hungry, and could keep going with the classes. Since around that time they messed up the class schedules, and it messed up my eating routine of the day. Since I always ate around 12 to 1PM. But back then we ate lunch at 10AM. Due to their unprofessional-ism in handling students. So my question is. What is a good plan or food I could eat that will not give me the fat I lose with the exercises.

Sorry for the long, and boring paragraph. I just can't take it anymore. I'm not super chubby, but I'm fat, and I don't want to gain any more. Not only that. It also causes more pain when trying to get up from chairs, etc. Due to my Muscular Dystrophy problem. Thank you for the understanding. Also I use to be skinny. I would rather go back to that skinny state than in this chubby state. Since It seems my muscles either go skinny or chubby, but never in between as in muscle-liked.

I hate to tell you this, but I ate lunch at 10 am in high school back in 90's, so it's not unprofessionalism, it's having hundreds and sometimes over a thousand students who all need to have a lunch break and only one cafeteria. The struggle is real.

Weight gain comes from a calorie surplus. If you eat more calories than you burn, you gain weight. It's not about the type of food you eat. Losing weight is about a calorie deficit - burning more calories than you eat - and again, it's not about the type of food, at least for weight loss. Obviously you want to eat foods that will allow you to reach your nutrition goals, but there isn't any food that you should eat or should avoid.

If you have specific concerns about diet because of your muscular dystrophy, you should speak with your doctor.

    Hi,
I also have muscular dystrophy which affects my proximal muscles the most severely. I am 24 and have had it since I was 18. It was very severe and I was much bigger when I was first diagnosed. So, I have lost a lot of weight with this.
Also, I don't know if yours is really severe, but mine got to the point of barely being able to walk, stand up, etc. Now I can do all sorts of stuff and work 10 hours so you can definitely improve your strength! Never give up, because exercise and getting adequate protein will be great for you! Losing weight will help you feel much better also! If you can manage to train your strength, do so as soon as possible.

Try taking Creatine and using protein powder. Also take a multivitamin with calcium, zinc, iron, and omega-3 fats if you don't eat much fish, nuts, seeds or avocado. It may sound expensive at first but your health is worth every dollar.

Protein is a MUST with muscular dystrophy! With exercise, focus on strength training! My doctor had me do 6 months of physical therapy, which also helped, but you can do it on your own if you want. Other easy ways to get protein are fish, stir fry, wraps (flat out wraps have 9g protein) English muffins with eggs (English muffin has ~5 and eggs have ~7). Try small portions of lean meat or protein shakes :). Also look for any bread that has more protein in it than normal. Egg whites and eggs are great if you like those!
