So I have a question....and other may have already mentioned this before....

I've only been on here a week, but as the day progresses my stomachs starts growling at people. I don't think it's because I am hungry cause I keep snacks on hand. However, last night I didn't get to eat dinner til late and I thought I would be starving but by the time I got home and had my sandwich I felt completely nauseas.

Now, this morning I just finished my breakfast about 40 minutes ago and it's already started growling at me.

Should I be concerned? Is it just change in diet that's causing rumblings? I just don't want it to jump out and take a bite out of one of my students!

  • I have heard that sometimes the feeling of hunger is actually your body telling you that it is thirsty. I always try to have a cup of water with me and if I start to feel hunger pains after I recently ate, I slowly drink my water.

Another thing I try to do is have a low calorie snack like a banana and yogurt or whole grain toast between breakfast and lunch as well as lunch and dinner. Try to eat every 2 to 3 hours if you can. It keeps your metabolism working!

it could just be your digestive system adjusting to the new foods. If you're eating a lot of high fiber foods maybe your body is just not used to it yet. I agree with everyone else too about drinking lots of water. I drink decaf tea all day everyday and it keeps me feeling pretty satisfied. I buy yummy flavors like honey vanilla chamomile, or "tension tamer" lol celestial seasonings is the way to go for decaf teas!

I haven't changed much of my food options.

However, I just realized that I hardly drank ANYTHING yesterday so that is probably the issue. Sometimes I just get so busy I forget.
