Hi! I'm just getting started on My Fitness Pal. I saw a friend of mine used this app and decided to give it a go. I am following the six week Shred plan by Dr. Ian Smith, and I thought this would be a great way to keep up with my food and exercise since the plan does require a lot of following it to a T. Anyway, I am 50 years old wife and mom of two college students and one high school student, and I have A LOT of weight to use (like 145 pounds). I suffer from fibromyalgia, so I haven't exercised in a while, even though I know it always helps with my pain. About 4 years ago, I lost 65 pounds just cutting out faux food, watching my serving sizes, and exercising 5 days a week for an hour, so I know I can do this. Right now I am starting with using the Wii Fit for my flexibility and walking daily. I am a school teacher, so I really want to get into the habit of exercising and eating right before school starts. Thankfully, my principal is a Shredder, so I know she will help me stay on track diet wise once school starts.
