If you want to gain weight, you need a calorie surplus.
Adding a protein shake to your existing eating plan can help with weight gain but only if you are above maintenence calories.
I've used Body Fortress - just to help me hit my protein goal while in a calorie deficit. Its decent. Ive had the chocolate and vanilla. I thought vanilla was gross but I'm not a huge vanilla fan
Chocolate mixed well with water, almond milk, or regular milk.
To aid in reaching a calorie surplus, you could make a chocolate peanut butter smoothie using powder, PB, frozen bananas, and a milk of your choosing0
