I see a lot of people counting calories for workouts.
Are there any people who count workouts for only progression and use diet more for weight loss?

I have a certain calorie deficit that I'm supposed to hit to lose at a healthy rate. If I ignore the calories I burn when working out, I'll lose at a faster rate than I'm intending. That can lead to all sorts of nasty side effects like increased muscle loss or hair loss.
Also, if you're not fueling your workouts properly (i.e. eating enough), you'll suffer in performance.0
