    I mean, where is it?
  • For loosing weight while retaining muscle I recommend IIFYM.com it will give you a better idea of what your should be. I'll use myself for example:

My calorie count should be around 2500. It is recommended that I have 200g of Carbs, 220g of Protein, and 80g of Fat. That is for losing weight while maintaining muscle.

Each person has different macros that they should follow. I suggest going to IIFYM.com first, check the calculator for IIFYM and follow the Macro Nutrition they give you. As long as you are close to they goal you can help keep/gain lean muscle while loosing weight.

Just use the defaults if you don't have specific goals. I think unless you change it, the basic proportions are for the typical carb rich, lower fat diet, ala the food pyramid. If your activity level is high, and you don't tend to overreat on carbs, this can be a good way to go, so you don't have to change anything.

I changed mine because I'm doing a lower carb thing, starting with something like 25% carbs/ 25% protein/ 50% fat (moderate carb diet), before moving to something like 15% carbs/ 25% protein/ 60% fat (low carb diet), and if I ever wished to do an ultra low carb thing, would drop the carbs to 5 or 10%.

Likewise, the third approach is somewhere in between the above two, where you aim for moderate carbs, fat and protein, and have a ratio that looks something like 35% carbs/ 30% protein/ 35% fat.

It all depends on what your approach/ plan to your dietting is. This link explains the different approaches quite well, but there's a bit of reading involved - http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/comparing-the-diets-part-1.html
