Lets make this official...hello!

I've been battling my weight for a long time. I am a 28 year old woman, and at 5"3 and 156lbs, I'm 24lbs lighter than my heaviest weight 5-6 years ago. With religious gym sessions and calorie counting, I got down to 140lbs 1.5 years ago.. but I hit a plateau for several months, became obsessed, and was starting to have real problems with binge eating. I had to stop tracking because I was headed in a scary direction.

A little over a year ago, I developed Fibromyalgia. I am thankful that I am on the milder end of this chronic pain spectrum, but this disorder has set a number of roadblocks in my journey to a healthy weight. I can no longer exercise vigorously, my medication causes weight gain, and I now work a desk job, as being on my feet all day is no longer an option.

Right now I'm doing my best to stick to my calorie goals with my food diary (3 days! so small but it seems like a lot to me). I recently went wheat-free to see if it affects my fibro at all, and I figured now was the best time to try properly keeping track of my food/calories again, since I can't have any bread/cookies/etc to boost those numbers! I'm also planning on trying out Yoga, and the weather is finally warm enough to swim, so that might be on the menu too.

I know that being a healthy weight will be good for me, both health-wise and for confidence. I know I will never be happy in this body until I can say I've done my best to be thinner. I'm tired of being "the fat chick". I often found links to myfitnesspal when looking up anything related to dieting and weight loss, so I decided to sign up. I think I'm ready.
