I'm currently on maintenance and eat about 1600 calories a day. Because I always work night shifts, I don't have to time to eat dinner, so I start the day off with 1000 calories for breakfast, 400 for lunch and about 150-200 for supper (at around 4). I don't eat anything until the next morning (unless it's low cal fruit or I have more calories remaining). Is this bad? Will it cause weight gain over time? Thanks to anyone who answers.

As long as you are eating at your maintenance calories limit then you will not gain weight.

You're still only eating 1600 cals in a day, in which case unless you are very small and inactive you will not gain weight.

Meal timing / frequency is personal preference and has no impact on weight loss.

    this

is the concern that you will gain weight due to the timing/calorie distribution of your food? because you could eat all 1600 of your calories in one meal, as long as its the same as your tdee then you wont gain or lose weight
