I've been on here a while just to lose a few pounds but seem to go back and forth between 183-190 pounds I'm 27 years old and have stayed in relatively good shape but definitely had some fat time in college and starting my career. When graduating high school I was 117 pounds but now I'm 5'10" and around 188 pounds, looking to lean up and look sexier mostly lol. I decided recently to sign up for the bodypump, bodycombat and bodyattack classes at good life. Has anyone had much success with these classes? Thanks!

I have taken all those classes. Not strict about them... I usually just stop in to switch my routine up.
I like them. Bodypump wasnt wahat I expected- I thought it was more a lifting class, but all those classes are cardio based. Which is fine, but I am running for my cardio.
Either way... They are fun classes that for sure make you sweat.
Good luck on your pursuit to sexiness!0 -
Yes, I tend to do mostly cardio now, not sure how or if the classes will help me but I'll give them a shot anyways and see if they give me the results I want. I'd sooner just trim up then get muscular like the incredible hulks at the gym lol. I find they just look funny...no offense to them.0

Hah. Haters gunna hate.
Getting Muscles like hulk takes a long time. Lifting wont get you bulky by accident. You gatta try.
You prob. would like Body pump then. It is cardio based but it does use resistance in the form of barbells which in my opinon is good for the average cardio person- because cardio without weight lifting makes us lose muscle mass instead of just fat.
For me- just making sure whatever I did decide to do- I made sure to do it regularly. The consistency is what helped me drop the weight and start changing my body composition.
Good luck!0 -
What would be considered cardio without resistance? I usually do exercise bike 20 minutes, 20 minutes of rowing and 20 minutes on the crossramp. All those usually say resistance will increase as you go. Is that really resistance or would none resistance cardio be like jogging?0

Weights are resistance.
Resistance training is a way diffrent feeling on your body than cardio. I dont know how/where you found any resistance with rowing, biking, or jogging...
**Edit** Not to say it cant be done.. I just am unaware of any. Some circuits with body weight resistance also have cardio// similar to some classes you were interested in.0 -
Okay cool, well thanks and congrats on losing 22 pounds lol...keep it up!0
