Planning ahead

Okay, the only stupid question is one not asked right? So I know I will be having a slice of French Silk Pie from Perkins on Wednesday. I looked on the database and know the calories are high. So if I cut back a little today and a little tomorrow will the result of the 3 days still net out?

I would normally not be to concerned about one day, however with my birthday this past weekend and my coworker's birthday on Wed. I am going overboard on the sweets.

I know I could just say no, but it is once a year for her birthday that she asks me and a few others to share the pie.

yes, alot of people look at the net calories for the week rather than just daily. this allows for situations like the one you mentioned where one day may be higher calorie than the next

As long as you are in a consistent calorie deficit you will lose weight.

Even if you go over goal this one day but stay under maitenance or even at maitenance...heck even above...as long as you are in a deficit you are fine.

The issue with "cutting back" for a couple days is you don't really have room to cut back as you are at 1200 as it is...you could however exercise a tad more and save those for Wednesday.

Yes. There's no magic reset button at midnight every day. Eat a little less all week and/or workout a little more. Also keep in mind that MFP has your deficit built in. So depending on how many pounds per week you have MFP set for you can go over your calorie limit for the day and still be at a deficit. Enjoy your pie!
