Belly growing bigger thru the day??

I'm not sure if this is in the right category or not but I have a question. When I wake up in the morning my stomach is much flatter than it is by bed time. By this I mean at least 5" bigger if not more! I eat clean. I drink AT LEAST 64 oz of water per day. The only other beverages I drink is coffee and sometimes wine at night. Does anyone else experience this? Solutions?? Thank you in advance!

What do you mean by eating clean?
A carb heavy diet will cause bloating. Whenever I eat a meal with a lot of pasta or rice, the same thing happens to me, but thankfully not 5 inches.
How is your posture? If you sit a lot and have bad posture, your stomach will stick out and it will probably get worse throughout the day.0 -
yes this happens to me all the time, maybe not as much as 5 inches but definitely bigger by the end of the day even when I didn't eat anything at all...
I sometimes have to go a size up when buying skirts/pants. They fit loose in the morning but I don't have to feel too miserable in the afternoon.0 -
Yep it happens even when I don't eat much, i think its just gravity pushing you in while you sleep.. And food trough out the day doesn't help ether0

My belly is huge right now. It's full of potatoes and spinach that I'm quite sure were clean because I washed them.0

I'm willing to bet it happens to everyone; clean eating or not.0

I have the same problem and I hate it ./ I'd deffo rather look skinny in the evening than morning, erm .D I think it's a combination of my back getting too tired to maintain good posture after the long day and obviously food doing it's chemical business inside me x)0

Completely normal, everyone's stomach is flattest in the morning because you haven't eaten anything yet. The more you eat throughout the day the bigger your stomach looks. Even the fittest athletes bloat.
However some foods can make certain people bloat more (eg: diary, broccoli, too much sugar even from fruit)
Even food combining can make a difference (eating fast digesting food like fruit straight after a slow digesting food like steak will cause bloating for example) just have a play around with your diet. Take certain things out sometimes and see what happens. Everyone's different with it.0 -

I think so, too, but 5 inches seems like a lot which makes me question the "clean" part. I only see a significant increase when I've eaten a lot of food in general, especially carbs, and drunk a lot of wine.0 -
By eating clean I mean mostly fruits and veggies etc. I try VERY hard to stay away from carbs as they make me feel bloated period. I do sit at work a lot but I believe I have fairly good posture?!?
I know its normal for a stomach to grow thru the day, I didnt' mean to come off as a complete idiot...I just meant that 5" + doesn't seem right to me?!?0 -
