Is there any possibility that taking a diet break for a few days and eating mostly sugar, breads, carbs etc could make you physically ill. Went on a 2 day mini vacation with friend and ate what ever. Really had a stomach problem the following day. Nauseous, stomach cramps, good sized headache. Hmmm. Maybe just a virus but the last time I went off for a day I noticed not feeling well. Anyone else experience this?

If you typically eat little sugar... and then over consume sugary foods... heck yeah that can happen. Being a former type 2 diabetic who lost weight and reversed my diagnosis by virtually eliminating sugary items from my diet... not only will copious amounts of sugar make me feel nauseous, it gives me the "poops" (sorry TMI, LOL!). Doesn't take long for the sudden influx of sugar to have it's effects on me either...
In my opinion, if you over indulge on anything you have virtually eliminated from your diet for any length of time, and you will feel negative effects.

yes this happened to me. My youngest child plays softball and we went to a tournament over the weekend and I ate a hamburger and milkshake and I was very ill for the entire weekend. Went to Dr. on Monday and it turned out my gall bladder was not functioning and had to be removed. They said it is common among people who have lost weight.0
