Primal Diet

Has anyone ever tried the Primal Diet by Mark Sisson. I found his website a few weeks ago and have been following the diet pretty well and I'm having some really great results.
I started eating a salad for lunch every day about 2 months ago, trying to cut calories and increase nutrition. I didn't realize at the time that I was eating a very primal meal. It started to be almost the only thing I would eat all day. I would make it huge on a bed of spinach with all sorts of other ingredients.
I also started doing Insanity. I lost 14 lbs in 9 weeks.
The beginning of this week I started a profile here. I started P90X, and I've cut even more non primal things from my diet. I've already lost another 3 lbs.
I feel really great, and I seem to be getting excellent results. You can read about the diet plan here

I'm new here. The only friend I've got on this site is my girl friend Jayms, so by all means, friend and respond.
Thanks

This is the first I've heard of the Primal Diet but I'll be sure to check it out. Awesome results you're reporting - congrats on those!!!
My niece has talked me into doing Insanity. We just ordered it a few days ago, but I'll be sure to keep MFP updated on my adventures there once I begin that journey.(I have P90X but have yet to get the proper weights for a great burn). I've been working with a personal trainer for 5 weeks and doing some kickboxing, which I love. I haven't re-measured myself (inches) but my clothes are more loose now. I lost about 5 pounds my first week and one a couple since then. Although I'm staying under my calorie goals on MFP, my fitness assement deemed that I'm under-eating and am thus negatively impacting my metabolism.
Anywho, I need to experiment with my "diet" and see what happens. Thanks for the info!!0 -
I'm virtually there by force. I'm allergic to most grain. My only vice that I can't give up is Dairy or I'd be totally Paleo. I love the idea and it makes perfect sense. Congrats on finding something that works for you! Friend request coming your way!! :drinker:0

Jack LaLanne espoused the benefits of this decades ago. He has two famous quotes regarding the subject, "If it tastes good, spit it out!" and "If man made it, don't eat it."0

I Jack LaLanne!! "If it tastes good spit it out" has to be the best weightloss mantra EVER!0 -
Brilliant man and way ahead of his time.
At the age of 96, LaLanne continues to work out every morning for two hours. He spends 1½ hours in the weight room and half an hour swimming or walking. LaLanne and his wife Elaine (84) live in Morro Bay, California.[12] When interviewed by Katie Couric on NBC's Today show, LaLanne said his two simple rules of nutrition are: "if man made it, don't eat it", and "if it tastes good, spit it out." He often says, "I cannot afford to die, it will ruin my image." Interviewed on his 93rd birthday, he said his feat of strength was going to be "towing my wife across the bathtub."0
