I've tried to lose weight on and off this past year after gaining 60lbs between January 2013 and March 2013. Long story short I have SEVERE hormonal imbalances, keep going in and out of adrenal failure, as well as SEVERE adhesions (scar tissue) in my stomach that makes it hard to move. I think we've finally found a mix of medicines for the hormones and the pain meds at least let me be moving even if in pain. Before if I even thought of doing more than walking a few feet I'd be crippled over whimpering. I'd lose a few pounds then gain it back without warning or changing anything.
Anyway I started running again and I haven't had any major pain flares. I decided to cut my cals back as well (I had been maintaining a steady weight in the past 6 months instead of the rapid weight gain I had experience prior). So far it seems to be working and the pounds are starting to come off again. I am so terrified I won't get back to where I was. I was so happy and active there. I don't want to go back to not being able to move again. I missed running so much. Not much to this post. It's not long enough for a blog so well, here it is LOL

Hi! If you keep up the good work with running and tracking your food you will see a major difference. My husband and I are down 187 pounds in the past 2 years. I would be happy to help encourage you along the way. Feel free to add me.0

My weight gain started after I developed hypothyroidism. I gained 50 pounds in the blink of an eye and had no idea why. When my doc finally figured out what was wrong with me, it took almost a full year to get my medication right. During that time, my weight just kept going up. I know it can be so frustrating to deal with a medical issue and to add the pain on top of all of it is so difficult. But it sounds like you're reaching a good place in terms of your medical care so now you're able to work on losing some weight and getting the fit, happy, active you back. It is hard work, but you can do it!0

Yea i can definitly understand the scariness...but as long as you can accept that there will be slips and that you can keep pushing past them...then you'll get there.0
